Premier League giants Arsenal have on Tuesday evening been dealt an altogether concerning blow on the personnel front.
Mikel Arteta’s troops are currently locked in league action, in a meeting with London rivals Fulham.
The Gunners opted for a strong XI for the matchup, since rewarded by way of an opener on the part of Spanish international Mikel Merino.
As alluded to above, though, it has not all been smooth sailing for Arsenal across the fixture to date.
This comes with the capital outfit having seen a key member of their backline forced into a premature departure from proceedings at The Emirates.
The player in question? Gabriel Magalhães.
Stopper Gabriel pulled up with what appeared to be a muscular problem early on on Tuesday, before limping off under the watch of the Arsenal medical staff.
His status for next week’s Champions League quarter-final first-leg showdown with Real Madrid, in turn, has been thrown firmly up in the air.
