Inter Milan take on Bologna in Serie A tomorrow evening.

And there is already a feeling that the match could be a huge, even decisive one at the top end of the table.

For Inter the aim is clear. The Nerazzurri want to hold off Napoli in top spot in the table.

Bologna, meanwhile, are dreaming of another season in the Champions League. They have arguably been the form team for all of Serie A since the start of 2025.

Inter certainly won’t be underestimating the Rossoblu after the last meeting. The Emilian team snatched a deserved draw in the reverse fixture in January.

However, Inter Milan will also have to reckon with the fact of having played against Bayern Munich in the Champions League just a few days ago.

The Nerazzurri secured a place in the semifinals with a dramatic second leg draw. But it came at a cost, physically.

Playing against the Bavarians required an enormous effort from Inter’s starting eleven.

This has already led to one muscle injury. Marcus Thuram is expected to miss a couple matches with fatigue in his left thigh.

And even for the rest of the players, they are not necessarily at their best after the intense Champions League match.

Therefore, Inter coach Simone Inzaghi will have to take that into consideration.

According to the Gazzetta, Inzaghi;s priority tomorrow will be to name a starting eleven that’s fresh and ready for the physical battle with Bologna.

In attack, anticipates the newspaper, Marko Arnautovic will get the start.

Then, on the left flank, Carlos Augusto will take the place of Federico Dimarco.

Meanwhile, in midfield Davide Frattesi will start either tomorrow against Bologna, or against AC Milan in the Coppa Italia in midweek.

Lastly, the Gazzetta report that in defense Yann Bisseck is likely to start tomorrow. The German will give either Alessandro Bastoni or Benjamin Pavard the chance to catch their breath.
