Birmingham City defender Quinn to retire

WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from the Blues this morning.
The 34-year-old centre-back will hang up her boots on the back of a successful senior playing career which began with SSE Airtricity League Women’s Premier Division club Peamount United way back in 2004. She has since turned out for UCD, Eskilstuna United, Notts County, Arsenal, Fiorentina and Birmingham City. Quinn won league titles in her native Republic of Ireland, England and Sweden. Quinn won two trophies in her time at Arsenal with the player having lifted the Subway Women’s League Cup prior to her league title success.
On the international stage, Quinn has collected more than 100 caps for the Republic of Ireland and represented the nation at the FIFA Women’s World Cup in 2023. She will go down in history as a true footballing legend for The Girls In Green.
Quinn will be hoping to celebrate one final honour with current club Birmingham City this weekend. Should the Blues defeat London City Lionesses at St. Andrew’s @ Knighthead Park, they will be promoted back to the Barclays Women’s Super League.
