The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) has not moved on from its interest in Carlo Ancelotti, as reported by SPORT.
The Italian manager remains a key target for the South American nation, despite currently being under contract with Real Madrid until 2026.
It must be noted that Ancelotti’s future at the Spanish club is still uncertain, with his continuity largely dependent on securing a major trophy this season.
While he still has a year left, winning either La Liga or the Champions League would be crucial in determining whether he stays at the club. However, there is also a possibility that the decision will not be up to the club alone.
The Italian could personally opt to end his tenure and embrace a new challenge by taking charge of Brazil, a role he has been linked with for the past two years.
Brazil first attempted to secure Ancelotti’s services two seasons ago when they were looking for a replacement for Tite.
At that time, an agreement was reportedly in place, but both parties understood that if Real Madrid offered him a contract extension, he would choose to remain in Spain.
The CBF waited patiently until the end of the season, but once Ancelotti extended his contract with Los Blancos, their hopes were dashed.

Despite this setback, Brazil has never lost sight of Ancelotti as their ideal candidate.
The veteran coach has always acknowledged his admiration for the prospect of leading the Selecao, though his priority was to continue at Madrid as long as Florentino Perez kept faith in him.
The CBF has even considered making accommodations to persuade him, allowing him to continue living in Madrid—or any location of his choosing—while only travelling as needed to oversee player scouting and national team camps.
The Brazilian federation believes that Ancelotti’s experience would help restore the national team’s lost dominance. They see his ability to manage squads filled with world-class talent as a key asset in reigniting Brazil’s footballing glory.
With this in mind, it cannot be ruled out that Ancelotti himself could make the final call to walk away from club football and embark on a new chapter with Brazil.
The challenge would be vastly different from the intense day-to-day pressure of managing a club like Real Madrid. Instead, it would offer a slower-paced role, potentially serving as his final adventure.
