Chelsea fell to another humiliating defeat at Stamford Bridge as they were beaten 1-2 by Legia Warsaw in the Conference League.

Despite the abject performance, Chelsea will progress to the next round, winning the tie 4-2 on aggregate. The guests opened the scoring with a penalty after a clumsy Filip Jorgensen tackle, before amateur defending allowed them to score from a corner in the second half.

The man of the hour Marc Cucurella scored for the Blues, tapping home twice from close range but having one of his efforts ruled out for offside.

Enzo Maresca had named a strong side for the second leg but it did not pay off as his squad were outplayed and outworked throughout the night.

Here’s how Enzo Maresca’s side rated at Stamford Bridge...

Filip Jorgensen 3

Conceded early penalty and then really should have kept out a poor effort. Handling was dreadful and lucky not to concede a second.

Josh Acheampong 5

Inverted off the right and carries the ball well.

Tosin Adarabioyo 4

One of many caught ball watching as Kapuadi was left unmarked to score second inside six yards.

Benoit Badiashile 5

Exposed in the left channel as Cucurella pushed high up the pitch. Booked.

Marc Cucurella 7

As so often, one of Chelsea’s livelier attacking threats and arrived perfectly to meet Sancho cross six yards out. Almost had a second but VAR spotted an earlier offside.

Reece James 4

Twice gave the ball away in the middle of the park and almost cost his team a goal. Not a good night for his ongoing midfield experiment.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall 5

Buzzed around in an advanced role but little threat.

Jadon Sancho 6

Playing with visibly more confidence after a decent week. Good positive play made Cucurella leveller, his third assist across the two legs.

Cole Palmer 5

Skewed wide with brilliant chance inside two minutes, then saw desperate diving header kept out.

Christopher Nkunku 5

Good pressing made Palmer chance and set up Cucurella’s disallowed second but slows the game down too readily at times.

Nicolas Jackson 5

One excellent flick made Sancho chance early on but still looks a way from early season form since injury return.

Substitutes

Tyrique George (Jackson 46’) 6

Unlucky not to start after goal in the away leg but sent on at half-time. Had goal chalked off for offside in the build up.

Noni Madueke (Palmer 58’) 6

Saw effort cleared off line within moments of coming on.

Malo Gusto (Cucurella 58’) 6

Instant impact making Madueke chance.

Pedro Neto (Sancho 83’) N/A
