The midfielder, and many of his team-mates, were guilty of many sloppy mistakes

Eberechi Eze, Ismaila Sarr and Eddie Nketiah did the damage by scoring past Bernd Leno and denying the Cottagers a trip to Wembley.

Instead, it will be the Eagles who head to the national stadium for the semi-finals.

Standard Sport’s Dom Smith was at Craven Cottage to rate the Fulham players’ performances…

Bernd Leno 4

Beaten all ends up by both of Palace’s first two goals. Should have done better with Nketiah’s effort, which went under him.

Timothy Castagne 4

Committed one or two fouls he didn’t need to make and moved the ball too slowly.

Joachim Andersen 6

Dealt well with ex-teammate Jean-Philippe Mateta and invariably looked to pass forward.

Calvin Bassey 5

Went on the overlap in the first half, almost grabbing an assist. Might have got closer to Sarr for the headed second goal, and played Nketiah onside for the third.

Antonee Robinson 6

Combined well with Willian and crossed whenever he had the chance.

Sander Berge 6

The Norwegian was responsible in possession and played the pivot role well for the hosts.

Sasa Lukic 6

The midfielder, returning from suspension, rotated play well and moved the ball swiftly.

Alex Iwobi 4

A pretty anonymous display from the ex-Arsenal man.

A shocker from the Brazilian. Missed a good chance, misplaced passes, and called Eze a diver when he had been fouled by Castagne. Not a good performance.

Willian 5

Tended to sit back from the press. Was handy on the ball.

Rodrigo Muniz 6

The afternoon might have panned out very differently if he’d tucked home his early chance. But caused Maxence Lacroix problems up front and won headers.

Adama Traore (Lukic, 63’) 6

Tried to make things happen down the right.

Emile Smith Rowe (Pereira, 63’) 5

A quiet cameo from the Englishman.

Raul Jimenez (Willian, 71’) 5

Brought on to try to bring Fulham back in the game. It didn’t work.

Ryan Sessegnon (Robinson, 71’) 5

Slotted in at left-back. Didn’t see much of the ball.

Tom Cairney (Iwobi, 82’) N/A

Not used: Benda, Reed, Cuenca, Diop
