Winners will meet Crystal Palace in next month’s FA Cup final
Manchester City and Nottingham Forest meet at Wembley Stadium this afternoon in the FA Cup semi-final.
Pep Guardiola’s side have enjoyed a straightforward route to this stage of the competition. They beat lower league opposition in Salford, Leyton Orient and Plymouth before overcoming Premier League rivals Bournemouth in the last round.
Forest, meanwhile, have taken the scenic route to the national stadium.
Of their four ties, only one has been settled in 90 minutes as they required penalty shootouts in round four, five and the quarter-final against Exeter, Ipswich and Brighton respectively to set up this all-Premier League showdown.
The winners of today’s tie will face Crystal Palace in the FA Cup final on May 17, 2025.
This is after the Eagles thrashed Aston Villa 3-0 yesterday thanks to a stunning strike from Eberechi Eze and a second half brace from Ismaila Sarr.
So will it be Forest that continue their impressive season or will Man City reach a third successive FA Cup final and get the chance to salvage a disappointing campaign by potentially winning silverware?
