Injured Barcelona star could return for final games of the season, including UCL final | OneFootball

An update on the wellbeing of sidelined Barcelona star Marc Casadó has on Friday come to the fore online.

And the news will no doubt be met with widespread excitement on the part of the Barcelona faithful. This comes amid confirmation that Casadó appears to be ahead of schedule in his recovery from injury.

Midfielder Casadó is of course currently in the midst of a spell on the treatment table.

As much comes owing to a lateral collateral ligament injury in his right knee, suffered en route to Barcelona’s La Liga victory over Atlético Madrid last month.

Upon the diagnosis of the problem being made official, Casadó was tipped to miss the remainder of the campaign.

As alluded to above, though, if the latest word stemming from the media on Friday is anything to go by, this may not prove to be the case.

As per a report from Cadena SER:

‘He won’t force it, but Casadó is working toward a return in May, ahead of the final two La Liga matches against Athletic Club and Villarreal, and a hypothetical Champions League final in Munich on May 31.’
