MILANO - FC Bayern’s coaches are in Milano to meet the kids involved in Inter Campus Italia. The morning was spent in the paediatric department at Fondazione Maria Letizia Verga and then on the pitch as part of the Sport Therapy project, in combination with Giocare Aiuta a Guarire Meglio. Much like last week ahead of the first leg, Inter Campus representatives took part in an activity organised by FC Bayern in collaboration with Buntkicktgut, the organisation which runs training sessions for children from fragile communities in Munich.

The Social Community Exchange is an awareness-raising project that, for Champions League games, allows participants in the two teams’ social programmes to meet their opponents in a different context. It’s not only about the big stage and professional football, but also normal people, football lovers and fans. Opponents during the 90 minutes but friends for life; after the final whistle, human bonds persist and there will be a new match to be faced together.

In proof of that, as was the case for our two-legged fixture against Feyenoord, Inter and Bayern are trying to promote inclusion and positive support in order to set a positive example for kids and fan communities. Javier Zanetti, Inter’s Vice President and an avid believer in football as a tool for coming together, was also present. Without opponents, there would be no football.
