Paris Saint-Germain will return to the French capital with a narrow lead after edging Arsenal 1–0 on Tuesday night at Emirates Stadium in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League semifinal.
Ousmane Dembélé struck early, scoring the only goal just four minutes in after sparking the move himself. He played a pass to Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, then sprinted into the box, where Kvaratskhelia found him again with a slick outside-of-the-foot return ball. Dembélé finished it off with a low shot that clipped the post on its way in.
Arsenal looked to have equalized later in the match, but VAR stepped in to disallow the goal, ensuring PSG take a one-goal advantage into the return leg at Parc des Princes.

Despite PSG leaving north London with just a one-goal lead, RMC Sport’s Christophe Dugarry states that the Ligue 1 side are the better side over the Gunners, even though the final scoreline didn’t reflect it.
“[PSG] made a huge impression on me,” Dugarry said (h/t Le10Sport). “Even if the score looks close, there was no contest. There’s no comparison between the two teams — Paris are stronger than Arsenal in every way.”
“It was a masterclass, especially the first half, which was simply exceptional. Did they do the hardest part? I’d say yes. Even though Mikel Arteta is trying to tell us they did some positive things, honestly, I didn’t see many.”
