McTominay stars as Napoli in pole position for Scudetto

Napoli are now three points clear at the top of Serie A with just four games to go, after Scott McTominay fired them past Torino and into pole position for the title.

It’s been a massive turnaround in just over a week. Last weekend, Napoli caught Inter at the summit – and this time, they took full advantage after Inter slipped up with a 1-0 defeat to Roma earlier in the day.

McTominay’s been the difference lately, stepping up with big goals when Napoli needed them most. The Scottish midfielder was at it again on Sunday, scoring twice in a 2-0 win over Torino that has sent the city into dreamland.

He’s now scored five in his last three games – including the winner at Monza and a brace in the thrashing of Empoli. Right now, he’s the man of the moment in Naples.

In the Italian league, the former Manchester United man has 11 goals—the most by any midfielder—while only Romelu Lukaku has scored more for his team, with 12.

With Inter dropping points, Antonio Conte's men are now in control of the title race. Their last four games are all against bottom-half sides – but that could be a tricky run, as Lecce, Parma and Cagliari are all still fighting for survival.
