Celtic supporters will begin their journey to the City of Discovery shortly, heading for Tannadice to watch what for many will be their second, third or even fourth visit to Dundee United’s stadium to see Celtic secure the title.

Memories of Tommy Burns around both the 1981 and 2008 title wins at Tannadice and more recently Ange Postecoglou’s 2022 title win when Giorgos Giakoumakis got the goal to secure the point Celtic needed that day to burst the Ibrox bubble.

There’s light rain in Perth at the moment but it’s overcast in Dundee and will stay that way all day with light winds not going to be a factor.
It’s a chance for Celtic to wrap up 4IAR ourselves, rather than allowing St Mirren to win it for us. Brendan’s Bhoys need just a point and with Jim Goodwin likely to park the bus it’s going to take a fast start from Celtic to blow that plan out the water otherwise it’s going to be a nervy afternoon until we break the deadlock.

There will be sadness as well as joy today as Pope Francis is laid to rest this morning. A minute of silence will take place at Tannadice, and apparently only at Tannadice this weekend in Scottish football. And the Celtic support will also pay their own respects to Pope Francis.
Aberdeen almost won it for Celtic a few weeks ago leaving the Celtic support with mixed emotions. Yes we half wanted to it that day but it’s100% more preferable to do it ourselves and that is exactly what we can do at Tannadice in the early kick-off this afternoon.

Celtic are unbeaten in their last 22 meetings against United, which bodes well as Celtic look to secure the point required to confirm the club’s 13th title in 14 seasons. Celtic will NOT be playing for a draw as Brendan’s Bhoys all want to sprint across the line as they did last season down at Rugby Park.

Brendan yesterday confirmed that there are no fresh injury concerns for the game. Yang (elbow), Kasper Schmeichel (shoulder) and Dane Murray (calf) remain sidelined and won’t be in action today. None of the injuries are long-term concerns.

Brendan will go with a ‘same again’ Celtic line-up which will see some of the big stars like Nicolas Kuhn and Jota remain n the bench. This starting eleven had the last two matches won by the interval with Kilmarnock and St Johnstone in the Scottish Cup fearing the worst as they had their half-time respite from the Celtic onslaught.

Experienced referee Don Robertson has been handed the whistle for the title decider. The 38-year-old will be assisted by David Roome and Ross Nelson. Meanwhile at Clydesdale House, Greg Aitken is on VAR duties with Graeme Leslie assisting.
The game kicks off at 12:30pm (Celtic Park Time).
The game will be shown on Sky Sports Main Event and Football. Chris Sutton and Co will be on air from 11:30am. Celtic TV subscribers outside Britain and Ireland will be able to tune in for the action from Tannadice. Highlights will be available this evening on Sportscene on BBC Scotland channel.
Celtic will have the job done by the interval with a 2-0 lead with Idah and Maeda scoring Perhaps a third in the second half will wrap up the title in style with James Forrest scoring from the penalty spot to not only become at the final whistle the most decorated Celt of all time but also the first to score for Celtic in 16 consecutive seasons dating all the way back to season 2009/10 when as a young lad he came off the bench for his debut and scored at the end of that season.

The Celtic support at Tannadice then sing ‘There’s only one James Forrest’. Then everyone heads back to Celtic Park to join the gathering crowd assembling to welcome back the 2024/25 Scottish Champions. Paradise will certainly be making some noise for the Bhoys later today.
Hopefully the gates are open for the Celtic supporters who will be heading to Paradise if Celtic secure the title up at Tannadice. Let’s do it!
COYBIG. Champions again!
