Looking at the Newcastle team v Brentford.

Eddie Howe and his players hoping to continue their winning form.

An away Premier League at West Ham and then that magnificent performance and triumph at Wembley against Liverpool, to bring back to Tyneside the first silverware in 56 years, the first domestic trophy in 70 years.

So, what can we expect the Newcastle team v Brentford to be?

Eddie Howe confirming on Tuesday morning that four Newcastle United players would definitely be missing on Wednesday night.

Jamaal Lascelles, Lewis Hall and Sven Botman unavailable due to injury, whilst Anthony Gordon completes his three match suspension.

Two positive pieces of longer-term news in the Eddie Howe press conference though.

The Head Coach saying that Sven Botman is doing well in his recovery and should play again this season. Howe also stating that Anthony Gordon had avoided serious injury when away with England and is expected to return to full training shortly, then be available for the Leicester away match on Monday night.

So where does that leave us…

My predicted Newcastle team v Brentford:

Pope, Trippier, Schar, Burn, Livramento, Tonali, Bruno, Joelinton, Barnes, Isak, Murphy

This is the starting eleven that won 1-0 at West Ham back on 10 March.

Eddie Howe then keeping faith with the same team at Wembley.

Unless any injuries/knocks we don’t know about, surely all but impossible to think the NUFC boss will start with anything but the exact same side once more.

Newcastle United didn’t just win at Wembley, they dominated Liverpool and deserved to win by at least a three goal margin, the scousers very lucky to escape with just a 2-1 defeat
