With Milan Skriniar now on loan at Fenerbahçe, Paris Saint-Germain could be in the market for a new center-back this summer. While Skriniar’s move isn’t permanent yet, PSG are expected to part ways with him for good, making a replacement a priority.
Last month, Anfield Watch reported that PSG are determined to sign Ibrahima Konate, adding more uncertainty to the defender’s future. The club is eager to bring him back to his hometown of Paris. Konate, who began his career at Paris FC before moving to RB Leipzig, has become a key target.
Meanwhile, if Liverpool can’t agree on a contract extension with Konate, they reportedly have a bold plan to offload him and use the funds to strengthen their attack.

TEAMtalk reports that several clubs, including Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid, are keeping an eye on Ibrahima Konaté’s situation and could make a move this summer. The outlet also confirms that Liverpool offered Konaté a contract extension last year, which has served as the basis for ongoing discussions.
Liverpool have not set an official price tag since they don’t intend to sell, but interested clubs believe an offer exceeding £50 million would be needed. The Reds originally signed Konaté for £36 million in 2021.
Recently, Defensa Central reported that Liverpool are open to selling him if Real Madrid or any other suitor meets their €60 million (£50.6 million, $65.5 million) valuation.
