Brahim Diaz may not have been a regular starter for Real Madrid last season, but the Moroccan international managed to be a key part of the manager’s plans as an able replacement for Jude Bellingham.

Whenever the team was faced with a situation where the Englishman was out, Diaz stepped up and delivered for the men in white. This season, more of the same was expected from him.

The player, however, has struggled to recreate the same form this campaign and has thus generated some discontent in the management. Now, his future at the club is being called into question.

On his way out?

As relayed by Fichajes in a recent report, Diaz has seen his prominence reduced and his presence on the field has seen a decline. Now, the media outlet reveal that the player could well be on his way out.

The management are disappointed with Diaz’s dip in form, especially given Arda Guler’s rise in prominence and could be willing to listen to offers for the player this summer.

While it is indeed true that the Moroccan star has not quite hit the levels he showed last season, one must also remember that Real Madrid as a whole have not been anywhere close to impressive and that it is unfair to single him out.

Brahim is aware of his situation and knows that he must take a step forward if he is to retain his place in the squad. His contract runs until 2027 and he wishes to continue at the club for the years to come.

So far this season, the 25-year-old has played in 28 league games for Real Madrid in which he has scored four goals and provided two assists. Further, he averages 0.7 key passes per game and has created three big chances.
