Chelsea are confident they’ll beat Liverpool to the signing of Bournemouth centre back Dean Huijsen according to reports.
The Blues are gearing up for another busy summer and could look to sell as many as seven or eight players in order to fund their moves in the market.
This window is critical for the club and arguably the most important under the new ownership with Chelsea looking to sign a striker, centre back and right footed attacker.
Whilst a striker is seemingly the main priority the Blues need a centre back and have been heavily linked with both Marc Guehi and Huijsen.
Huijsen is attracting interest from a number of Premier League clubs and has a £50m release clause in his contract.
There are a number of English clubs interested including Champions elect Liverpool, whilst the Blues are said to have already had meetings with his camp.

Chelsea could face a tough task convincing the 20-year-old to join, but TEAMtalk have reported the Blues are confident they can beat their rivals to his signature.
The report adds Chelsea held positive talks with Huijsen in the last week and are pushing hard to sign the youngster, whilst there’s growing confidence he’s giving serious consideration to joining the club.
TEAMtalk claim if Chelsea miss out on Huijsen they’ve identified Ajax youngster Jorrel Hato as an alternative target.
Huijsen has had an incredible rise over the past 12 months having joined Bournemouth from Juventus last summer.

The Spaniard has made 30 appearances in all competitions, with the Cherries still in with a chance of qualifying for some form of European football.
The likes of Real Madrid and Bayern Munich have expressed interest, but they aren’t thought to be as advanced as Chelsea and Liverpool, and it now seems likely Huijsen will remain in the Premier League.
