Sky Sports make public the two countries Newcastle United will visit in pre-season

Sky Sports have given an update on the Newcastle United pre-season plans this summer.
Keith Downie, who covers Newcastle United for the broadcaster, says that Eddie Howe and the squad will ‘like last summer’ have a pre-season camp in Europe.
In summer 2024, Newcastle took advantage of their new deal with Adidas to spend time at the company’s HQ which has state of the art training facilities in Germany.
Sky Sports say their information is that this time the first team squad will travel to both Singapore and South Korea, set to play one friendly in the former and two in the latter.
The new report says that Premier League opponents are likely amongst Newcastle’s opponents in the friendlies.
Separately, The Mail claim that Tottenham are set to be United’s opposition in one of these friendlies.
It has also been long claimed that Newcastle will travel to play Celtic on 19 July 2025, though no official confirmation yet on that one either.
The 2025/26 Premier League season kicks off on the weekend of Saturday 16 August 2025.
‘Newcastle will travel to Singapore and South Korea as part of their pre-season preparations.
Plans are being put in place for the Carabao Cup winners to travel to both countries as part of a lucrative Asian tour.
Newcastle will likely play one friendly in Singapore, and two in South Korea — with Premier League opponents likely amongst the games.
Newcastle will jet out in late July following a pre-season camp in Europe, like last summer.
