SWPL: Hayley Lauder signs new deal with Glasgow City

Glasgow City have announced that Scottish international centurion Hayley Lauder has signed a new contract until the summer of 2026.

The 34-year-old first signed for Glasgow City in 2014, and is quickly approaching her 250th appearances for the club. During her tenure in native Scotland, Lauder has won 10 trophies and featured twice for the club in the Champions League quarter-finals.

On the international stage, Lauder has received 106 caps for the Scotland national team, and has featured at Euro 2017 and the 2019 World Cup in France.

Upon signing her new deal, Lauder said: “It feels really good. I’ve been here for a long time now. I’ve seen the progression of the club, and I’m delighted to extend my stay.

“As an individual and as a player, I still have that drive. I’ve shown this season that I can still contribute to the team, and it is something that I love being part of. Ultimately, I still want to have more success and City is the place that matches my ambition.”

Head coach Leanne Ross added: “Hayley has been an important player for Glasgow City for a number of years now and we are all thrilled that will continue. She is a model professional and someone who I know every player in the squad looks up to and respects. She drives standards in the way she acts off the pitch and the way she plays on it.”
