A new candidate for Roma’s bench has just touched down on Italian soil.

Erik ten Hag, currently a free agent after his experience at Manchester United, was spotted in Rome today.

The news was broken by the radio station Manà Manà Sport, which reported the arrival of the coach at Fiumicino airport.

The sighting immediately sparked speculation, considering the previous links of his name to the Roma bench, with Claudio Ranieri set to abandon his post at the end of the season.

Ten Hag had previously been mentioned among the international candidates who could have led the Giallorossi team, but his name has never really been at the top of Roma’s shortlist.

However, his presence in the capital cannot go unnoticed. There is currently no official confirmation of any meetings or contacts with the Roma management.
