Newcastle and Barcelona are among the clubs linked with Fiorentina star Moise Kean, but Italian sources suggest the striker may opt to remain at the Stadio Franchi in 2025-26 as he aims for a spot in the Azzurri squad for the 2026 World Cup.

Kean has had a fantastic season at Fiorentina with 23 goals in 39 matches across all competitions.

He’s also the second-best scorer in Serie A with 17 goals in 29 games.

His impressive performances and a €52m clause valid from July 1 to July 15 have attracted interest from some big European clubs, including Newcastle and Barcelona.

However, according to TMW, Kean is not entirely convinced about leaving Fiorentina this summer, as he also said to some close friends.

The Italian striker, in fact, is well aware that if he repeats his exciting displays in Florence next season, he will surely get a spot in the Italy squad for the 2026 World Cup, as long as Italy qualify.

Kean’s contract expires in June 2029, and Fiorentina are also expected to sit down with his entourage, hoping to cancel or modify his release clause.
