The Champions League Team of the Week based on statistics has on Thursday been unveiled online.
And it features no fewer than four La Liga players.
It proved a largely successful week for Spanish clubs in Europe’s premiere competition, with only Girona having failed to secure a three-point haul.
Barcelona bested Benfica in a thriller, Real Madrid made short work of RB Salzburg, and Atlético Madrid enjoyed a last-gasp comeback victory over Bayer Leverkusen.
And such endeavours, as alluded to above, have been reflected in the statistic-based Champions League Team of the Week.
Put together by the reliable Sofascore, the best XI on the continent this week includes Barcelona pair Pedri and Raphinha, Real Madrid standout Vinícius Jr, and Atlético summer signing Julián Alvarez, the latter trio of whom were all on target to the tune of a brace.
