22-year-old Ligue 1 star reveals Barcelona dream | OneFootball

Barcelona will be aware of all sorts of young talents across the world, and especially in Europe. One player that they will be especially familiar with is Maghnes Akliouche, as he scored a fine solo goal during AS Monaco’s 2-1 victory over the Catalans in the Champions League earlier this season.

On that occasion, Akliouche scored against Barcelona, although he has revealed that his dream is to play for them. As per MD, a recent video has circulated of the 22-year-old admitting this, and also that Lionel Messi is his favourite player.

“In addition to playing for Monaco, I would like to play for Barcelona. Lionel Messi is my idol. He’s the best player in the world.”

Akliouche predominantly plays as a right winger, which is a position that Barcelona do not currently need because they already have Lamine Yamal, Raphinha and Ferran Torres as options. However, it cannot be ruled out that he emerges as a target in the future.
