Suspended or not, Sandro Tonali is still one of the most wanted midfielders in Europe. Despite sitting out the majority of the season due to a betting ban, the Italian remains a top-tier talent. Now, his name is once again dominating Newcastle transfer news headlines.

According to a fresh update from Spanish outlet Fichajes, Newcastle United are bracing for a major summer saga. Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Manchester City have all registered serious interest in signing the 24-year-old.

Newcastle news: Newcastle demand €80M for Sandro Tonali

Tonali signed for Newcastle United in a high-profile move from AC Milan last summer. He was expected to become the midfield general for Eddie Howe’s side. However, his debut campaign was cut short by suspension following betting-related misconduct. Still, Tonali showed glimpses of his quality in black and white – enough to attract three European giants.

As per Fichajes, Newcastle are unwilling to let Tonali leave easily. The club has reportedly set a hefty price tag of €80 million. They believe the Italian still has a long future at St James’ Park and remain keen on reintegrating him next season.

Newcastle transfer news: Real Madrid, Barcelona & Man City lead the race for Sandro Tonali

With Toni Kroos departing and Luka Modric’s role diminishing, Real Madrid are hunting for midfield reinforcements. Sandro Tonali, with his control, tenacity and tactical intelligence, fits their plans.

Barcelona’s new manager Hansi Flick is also eager to add balance to a youthful squad. While the Catalans have plenty of raw talent in midfield, they lack Tonali’s experience and presence. He is seen as a stabilising force for the next phase of Barca’s rebuild.

Meanwhile, Pep Guardiola could lose Kevin De Bruyne this summer. The Belgian is attracting interest from Saudi Arabia, and City are already drawing up contingency plans. Tonali, known for his work rate and versatility, is one of Pep’s top options.

Despite the growing interest, Newcastle’s stance remains firm. Tonali is not for sale – unless one of the suitors meets their €80M valuation. It is a clear message to potential buyers that they will not be bullied in the market.

Still, with Real Madrid, Barcelona and Manchester City involved, this transfer saga is far from over. If one of the three European giants decides to push hard, the Magpies may be forced to reconsider.

For now, Tonali remains committed to Newcastle United. But the coming weeks could see a fierce battle unfold across Europe.
