PSV have been drawn against Arsenal in the next round of the Champions League. After a dramatic victory over Juventus in the previous round, the side will not be scared of an even tougher task against Arsenal in the next round. Ryan Flamingo’s late winner against Juventus gave the side a 4-3 aggregate win as they overcame a 2-1 first leg defeat. PSV have already faced Premier League opposition once this season, running out 3-2 winners over 10 man Liverpool. However, this was the final matchday of the league stage and Liverpool were playing an weakened side.

Should PSV overcome Arsenal over two legs, they will face one of the two Madrid sides in the next round. Real and Atletico have been drawn against each other for the last 16 in what will certainly be a heated affair. PSV are on the opposite side of the draw to Feyenoord, who have been drawn against Inter Milan. That means that, while highly unlikely, an all Eredivisie Champions League final is certainly possible. However, it is unlikely UEFA envisioned such a final to cap off its newly revamped Champions League format!
