Andre Onana has been left out of Manchester United's squad for their game with Newcastle on Sunday.

Onana has been the subject of some high-profile mistakes in recent weeks with Lyon midfielder Nemanja Matic calling the Cameroon international "one of the worst" in the club's history.

After two errors in United's draw with the French side in the Europa League, coach Ruben Amorim has now opted to not call upon Onana for today's match.

The Telegraph, Independent and Manchester Evening News have all reported the news, with the three outlets also revealing that part of Amorims' thinking was due to Onana's wife being the subject of a robbery in Manchester last week.

Deputy Altay Bayindir is set to make his first Premier League appearance as a result.
