It feels like William Saliba has been in the Arsenal team for much longer than three seasons at this point, but the French defender turns just 24 today.
Maybe the reason for that is the defender was signed three years before he made his debut, joining in the summer of 2019 from Saint-Étienne for over £20m when Unai Emery was still in charge of the Gunners.
After spending plenty of time out on loan, he made his debut on the opening day of the 2022/23 season and has not looked back since, forming a strong partnership with Gabriel and becoming a key man for Mikel Arteta.
122 appearances and seven goals into his career with Arsenal, the defender is still to win a trophy in North London.
Might this be the year that changes? The Gunners will him to be at his absolute best if they are to topple Real Madrid and win the Champions League for the first time.
