It is said that while speculation in Madrid grows, Arsenal have already initiated ‘concrete negotiations’ to arrange his summer arrival.

Arsenal are optimistic

It goes without saying that Zubimendi has caught the eyes of top European clubs with his composed performances both at club level and with the Spanish national team. Arsenal, however, appear to have the most concrete plan in place to bring him in.

The Gunners are reportedly laying the groundwork for an early summer swoop, with manager Mikel Arteta seeing the Real Sociedad anchor man as the natural heir to veterans Thomas Partey and Jorginho.

While Real Madrid’s interest is undeniable, especially if Xabi Alonso takes charge at the Santiago Bernabeu, Arsenal’s intentions are clearer.

Their new sporting director, Andrea Berta, has made Zubimendi a priority target. Negotiations with Real Sociedad have already begun, suggesting a serious commitment to landing the midfielder.

Real Madrid to finish second best?

Sources close to Zubimendi suggest that Arsenal’s offer is currently the most developed and convincing.

Their project, with Champions League football and a young, ambitious squad, is reportedly appealing to the midfielder, who sees this as the right moment for a significant leap in his career.

While Real Madrid’s shadow looms, particularly with potential managerial changes on the horizon, Arsenal’s proactive approach and clearer roadmap could give them the edge.

The London team believe that Zubimendi is the player to help bridge the gap between promise and silverware, and are preparing to act swiftly to ensure he wears red and white next season.
