Arsenal want to complete their squad by signing a wide forward such as Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo, according to the Independent journalist Miguel Delaney.
The Gunners greatly admire the ‘powerful’ 25-year-old and are eyeing a summer swoop for him having had him on their radar for a while.
Arsenal have plans to bolster their attack before the end of the January transfer window, but it would cost an extra £50 million to get RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko now rather than in the summer due to his club’s Champions League chase.
That could impinge plans to complete the squad by bringing in Martin Zubimendi, a Sesko-style striker and a wide forward such as the Cherries star.
Antoine Semenyo grew up supporting the North London club and could be perfect for them going forward due to his versatility and quality.
The Ghana international can play as a number 9, a second striker and on the wings, and Gunners manager Mikel Arteta could do with such a player in his attack given the options he brings to the table.
Semenyo has eight goals and four assists in 24 appearances for Bournemouth this term, and he can be unplayable on his day due to his style of play and strength.
The 6ft 1in hitman boasts great finishing and aerial strength, and a move to one of the biggest clubs in the land will appeal to him.
Having grown up supporting Arsenal, he would be pleased to play for them should they make a concrete move for him in the summer transfer window.
