WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Gunners this morning.
The 18-year-old joined Arsenal four years ago and she has successfully made the step up from the academy to the fringes of the first team. Lia has made two competitive appearances for The Gunners to date at senior level.
On the international stage, Lia is a member of the England Under-19 side and she could push for senior honours in the future.
Lia has huge potential and is seen as one of the brightest young talents in England. Arsenal have therefore moved quickly to secure her services on a professional basis going forward.
After signing her first professional contract with Arsenal, Lia said “To sign a professional contract at the club I’ve spent my whole life supporting is incredible. I’ve worked so hard for this moment and I’m delighted to be continuing my journey at Arsenal. Now, I’m looking forward to continuing to learn and I’m determined to take every opportunity to develop and grow.”
Lia follows teammates Laila Harbert and Maddy Earl in signing professional terms with Arsenal this month.
