Arsenal’s William Saliba ‘the chosen one’ for Real Madrid | OneFootball

William Saliba (24) represents a long-term target for Real Madrid and Marca now understands that the La Liga giants will do everything to sign the Arsenal defender this summer.

Arsenal play Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League tonight. The Gunners advanced from the quarter-final at the expense of Real Madrid and Saliba’s performance was one of the reasons why. Los Blancos are now determined to bring the France international to the Bernabeu with Marca stating that he is the “chosen one” for Florentino Perez, who is now willing to make a considerable financial commitment in order to get the deal done.

The player himself and Arsenal are both aware of Real Madrid’s intense interest, which could become concrete upon the opening of the transfer window in June. Bournemouth and Spain centre-back Dean Huijsen (20) is also an option, however, Saliba is th absolute priority for Real Madrid, who will be looking to bounce back after a sub-par season both in Europe and domestically.
