Match day 17 in La Liga promises to be an exciting one as Real Madrid travel away from home to face Rayo Vallecano.
As expectedly, Kylian Mbappe is ruled out from this fixture and Eduardo Camavinga’s return is a major boost.
Here is how Real Madrid can lineup against Rayo Vallecano.
GK: Thibaut Courtois
The Belgian did well against Atalanta and couldn’t have done better. Nevertheless, he has been solid in La Liga also and is expected to keep yet another clean sheet.
RB: Lucas Vazquez
This time it may be an easier challenge for the Spaniard since he has struggled in most matches this season and has been consistently inconsistent. Hopefully a better day for him tonight.
Expected to start this match after being on the bench for the last two games. He has grown as a player and showed immense potential to be one of the best in the future. He seems to have cemented his place in the side in Eder Militao and David Alaba’s absence.
The German will start yet another match even though a rest is not ruled out. Has partnered up really well with Asencio and will hope to continue that run.
LB: Fran García
In line to start this match against his former side. It will be a homecoming for Fran but the fans will be against him. Will not be easy to exploit the left wing but he possess the ability to make well-timed runs in empty spaces.
CM: Fede Valverde
His presence will play a huge part yet again since the long shots he strikes can cause danger for the stubborn Rayo Vallecano defence. Due to the amount of consecutive starts he has had, the Uruguayan might be taken off early to avoid any further injuries.
CDM: Aurelien Tchouaméni
Will shift to being the lone pivot after a brief run in defence. Not been at his best in the midfield, in particular, but it is great to see that he has some competition in defence in the face of Raul Asencio.
CM: Jude Bellingham
Whether he starts or not may be a debate between Carlo Ancelotti and his staff since the Englishman was taken off early at the hour mark against Girona and played 87 minutes against Atalanta. But against a resilient Rayo side, a player of his quality is required.
CM: Dani Ceballos
Has been an unexpected yet refreshing to see him perform at his best. The Spaniards heatmap shows his ability to cover almost the entire pitch without breaking much off a sweat. Plus, his positioning and defensive workrate gives Jude Bellingham the freedom to play more freely.
Not his ideal position so expect him to shift to either of the wings at times during the match. He needs something to go his way and to pick up some momentum because the season I will get tougher from here on and this Brazilian, has blown hot and cold.
He showed the world what he is capable of when he is not at full fitness in the last match. One of the best players in the world this season will hope to continue his run and wreck havoc against defences
