He has scored braces in victories against Millwall and Bournemouth in the league, as well as netting a brace against Chelsea Under-21s in the Premier League Cup group stage in September.
Hay has scored a hat-trick on two separate occasions this season, the first coming in a 6-1 victory away from home against Charlton Athletic and the second against Queens Park Rangers in a 4-1 victory at Wheatsheaf Park.
He joined Brentford B on Deadline Day in the summer of 2023, making the move from Hitchin Town. His arrival at Brentford followed a standout season with the Southern Premier Division Central side during the 2022/23 campaign, where he netted 11 goals.
Now the attacker will be looking to make an impression in the Football League, as the Robins currently sit in 14th place in League Two with eight wins, six draws and nine losses.
On the move, B team head coach Neil MacFarlane said: “Ash came to us from Hitchin Town and we saw some excellent qualities we felt we could develop and, over a sustained period of time, we have worked together to put him in the best possible position to go and succeed on loan.
“He is currently in fantastic form and has been a huge part of the success the B team has had so far this season in particular. He is a fantastic pressing forward, a real threat in and around the box, and is in great goalscoring form.
“I’m delighted for Ash as he is a terrific character with an outstanding work ethic. He will be a great addition to the Cheltenham squad and we wish them both the best in the new year.”
