Hammers face another difficult trip after recent thrashings

West Ham travel to Aston Villa in the FA Cup third-round on Friday looking to raise confidence again.

The Hammers begin life without Julen Lopetegui, who was sacked on Wednesday.

Villa, meanwhile, got back to winning ways on Saturday in their victory over Leicester.

Villa will welcome back Morgan Rogers after he missed the Leicester game through suspension, having picked up five yellow cards this season.

Jhon Duran is suspended, while all of Jaden Philogene, John McGinn, Diego Carlos and Pau Torres are expected to miss out through injury.

West Ham could be without Jean-Clair Todibo after Lopetegui provided a rather pessimistic update about the defender following the City defeat. Emerson Palmieri also missed that game through injury.

Jarrod Bowen is facing up to two months out of action, though Lukasz Fabianski could return.
