Ademola Lookman and Ederson are grabbing the headlines at Atalanta ahead of the summer window, but Isak Hien will also have deep-pocketed suitors. The Bergamaschi will need to decide whether to record another ‘plusvalenza’ or keep him, Tuttomercatoweb informs.
Inter have been eyeing him. He’d be ideal for what they are searching given his experience in the central role of a three-man defense. La Dea signed him from Hellas Verona for €9M plus add-ons. His price tag has tripled since then.
Atalanta don’t want to sell Hien but are ready to evaluate the offers like for most of their players. The Scudetto holders could entice them with a makeweight, for instance, Francesco Pio Esposito, who has broken out at Spezia.
The Nerazzurri aren’t the only ones monitoring the Swedish international. Atletico Madrid and PSG have sent their scouts to Bergamo more than a few times. He moved to Italy from Djurgården back in 2022. He has racked up 83 caps in Serie A since then, plus 22 in the cups.
He’s rock-solid but potentially expendable. La Dea hasn’t had Giorgio Scalvini for basically the entire season and Odilon Kossounou for a large chunk of it. They have his replacements in-house and wouldn’t necessarily need to add another top-notch defender to make up for his departure, rolling the dice with a prospect, which is what they like the most. He’s not as flashy as Oumar Solet, but his transition into Inter’s scheme would be smoother if they plan to replace Francesco Acerbi and/or Stefan De Vrij. Instead, the Udinese star would need more work.
