Atlético Madrid announce squad for Barcelona showdown | OneFootball

The squad of players set to be tasked with getting the better of Barcelona by Atlético Madrid boss Diego Simeone has on Saturday afternoon been unveiled online.

And it features, as expected, a whole host of star names.

Atlético are of course primed to make the trip to Catalunya’s capital later this evening.

In one of the most highly-anticipated fixtures of the La Liga campaign to date, the Rojiblancos will lock horns with Hansi Flick’s Barca, in a showdown between the Spanish top-flight’s top two.

Atléti head into the matchup in the midst of nothing short of a spectacular run of form, having rattled off 11 successive victories across all competitions.

And, as alluded to above, a short time ago, the panel of players set to be trusted by Diego Simeone to keep this run alive was made official.

The squad comprises the same group of 24 players which Simeone and his staff have depended on for their last two fixtures, as follows:
