Barcelona boss Flick uses Antony example to hail Real Betis manager Manuel Pellegrini | OneFootball

Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has on Friday moved to reveal his appreciation for the managerial talents of Real Betis counterpart Manuel Pellegrini.

Barca and Betis, of course, are primed to lock horns on Saturday evening.

And whilst it is the former who will head into the matchup as understandable favourites amid an electric recent run of form, confidence is high in the camp at the Estadio Benito Villamarín, too.

Real Betis have looked a team reborn over recent weeks, boasting six wins and a draw from their last seven outings across all competitions.

The bulk of the credit for as much has gone the way of Manuel Pellegrini, who finally appears to have found the correct balance in his XI.

Drawn on the job being done by his managerial counterpart during his pre-match press conference on Friday, Hansi Flick therefore made use of the opportunity to lavish praise on Pellegrini:

“Pellegrini is doing a great job. He’s a fantastic coach with a lot of experience.”

Flick continued:

”He knows how to get the best out of every team he manages. He has new players, and when you look at someone like Antony, you can clearly see the coach’s impact.”
