It is no secret that Barcelona are keen on tying Hansi Flick down to a new contract following a tremendous start to his spell in Catalonia.
Under the leadership of Flick, Barça are once again looking like a European giant and have even emerged as one of the favourites to secure the Champions League title – something that was unthinkable a few years ago.
The confidence is also back in the camp, with the team being driven by a mix of experience and youth exuberance.
Barcelona have been left impressed by the turnaround Flick has managed in such a short span of time, and as such, they want to extend his contract, which expires in the summer of 2026.
According to RAC1, Barcelona have already been handed a major boost as Flick has agreed to extend his contract until 2027.

Barça would have ideally liked to extend his contract beyond 2027, but it appears Flick is taking a step-by-step process when it comes to extending his contract.
That means the German may not sign a deal longer than 2027 right now, but might not necessarily rule out a stay beyond 2027.
Flick will start evaluating a stay longer than 2027 when the time is right. The report adds that the German will consider leaving Barcelona only when he feels his ‘experience’ is over.
This comes at a time when cryptic reports have come regarding Flick’s future, with speculations suggesting that Barcelona might be his last destination before the coach eventually retires from coaching.
