La Liga giants Barcelona have on Friday been credited with a somewhat surprising interest in a member of the attacking ranks at Fiorentina.

The player in question? Moise Kean.

Frontman Kean is for his part in the midst of what has been a stellar individual campaign to date.

Picked up by Fiorentina after another disappointing season on the books of Juventus, the Italian international has looked a player reborn.

All told, in 35 appearances across all competitions, Kean has racked up 21 goals, and three assists.

And such fine form, it would appear, has not gone at all unnoticed across the continent.

As per a report from Diario Sport, citing La Gazzetta dello Sport, Hansi Flick’s Barcelona are one of a number of clubs keeping a close eye on Kean’s situation with a view to the summer.

Amid an ongoing search for reinforcements in the attacking third, the Blaugrana, in fact, are said to boast a ‘strong’ interest in the services of the 25-year-old.

‘Barça have set their eyes on him for his offensive versatility. He can play perfectly as a ‘9’, a position in which he is excelling at Fiorentina, but he also has the skills to play as a left winger, a position that the Blaugrana team have been looking (to strengthen) for a few months,’ it is concluded.
