Barcelona & Real Madrid the only teams with no players in UCL Team of the Week

Not a single player from Spanish football’s two biggest clubs managed to earn for themselves a place in the latest official Champions League Team of the Week.
Barcelona and Real Madrid are of course both fresh off outings to forget on the continent this week.
The former were condemned to a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Borussia Dortmund, albeit with it having mattered little following a 4-0 romp in the tie’s opener.
Carlo Ancelotti’s Real, on the other hand, were sent packing from European football’s premiere club competition.
This came after Los Blancos followed up on a 3-0 first-leg defeat to Arsenal with a 2-1 loss at the Santiago Bernabéu.
And as alluded to above, such shortcomings are firmly reflected in the official Champions League Team of the Week.
As revealed across UEFA’s social media platforms a short time ago, all other six clubs from the competition’s quarter-finals boast inclusions in the latest TOTW:
