Barcelona’s comeback win over Celta Vigo might have helped them retain their position at the top of the La Liga table, but the post-match headlines were dominated just as much by the drama on the sidelines as the action on the pitch.
Robert Lewandowski’s injury grabbed early attention, but what followed was a series of emotional reactions from players frustrated with head coach Hansi Flick’s decisions.
The first one was Ferran Torres, who was visibly frustrated when he was taken off around the hour mark despite the fact that he had scored the all-important opener.
Ansu Fati, who didn’t come on at all, was even seen kicking a water bottle in frustration when Flick used up all his substitutes.
Hector Fort did the same as well, notably giving Hansi Flick the cold shoulder after the match was over. This series of incidents has led to much speculation over players not being happy with some of Flick’s decisions, but for Barcelona, it isn’t a concerning theme at all.

According to journalist Toni Juanmarti, the reactions are actually seen in a positive light by Barcelona. They believe that a bit of frustration shows hunger, passion, and a willingness to contribute — all traits that are valued highly within the camp.
As far as Fati is concerned, though, the staff maintains that he has been well aware of his situation for some time now and understands the tough competition for places in the squad.
As for Fort, there was no disrespect; the player had moved into midfield during warm-ups, and Flick simply wanted to share a tactical observation.
Ferran Torres’ frustration was also justified, and in fact, it speaks volumes about his desire to score and change matches for Barcelona.
This is the type of attitude that will help the Spaniard fill in the shoes of Robert Lewandowski, who has been sidelined for at least three weeks after a fresh injury vs Celta Vigo.
