A member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona knocked back a number of proposals to depart the club during the winter transfer window.
That’s according to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, who points towards Ansu Fati as the player in question.
Wide-man Ansu has of course endured an altogether difficult campaign to date.
Owing to a combination of competition for places, fitness problems and simple lack of form, the 22-year-old has been restricted to a total of just over 180 minutes of playing time.
Recent weeks have even seen Ansu frequently omitted from Hansi Flick’s matchday setup entirely.
The attacker for his part remains hard at work, desperate to turn his situation around and fulfil his dream of succeeding in Barcelona’s colours.
So much so that, as alluded to above, Ansu rebuffed a series of offers to move on in January.
As per a report from Fabrizio Romano:
‘Ansu rejected more than 4 approaches in January and he’ll have the final decision.’
Unfortunately for the Spaniard, however:
‘Barcelona’s plan with Ansu Fati remains same as January, trying to find a new club in order to sell him.’
