A leading member of the first-team ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona suffered his very first defeat in the club’s colours this evening.

The player in question? Wojciech Szczęsny.

Goalkeeper Szczęsny was for his part in from the off once more on Wednesday.

This came as Barcelona made the trip to Germany for a Champions League quarter-final 2nd leg meeting with Borussia Dortmund.

The Blaugrana headed into the matchup in possession of a significant advantage, after romping to a 4-0 victory in the tie’s opener last week.

In turn, from a team standpoint, it meant little when Hansi Flick’s troops were ultimately put to the sword by three goals to one.

As alluded to above, though, as much did come as a notable development for one player.

After seeing out the first 22 games of his career with the club unbeaten, Wojciech Szczęsny, at last, was condemned to defeat as a Barcelona player.
