Barcelona to receive €50m transfer offer ‘in the coming hours’ | OneFootball

La Liga giants Barcelona are expected to be on the receiving end of a big-money transfer offer for a headline member of the club’s backline at some point today.

That’s according to Relevo transfer insider Matteo Moretto, who points towards Ronald Araújo as the player in question.

Defender Araújo has of course seen his name dominate the headlines across all of Europe over the course of recent days.

This comes amid widespread confirmation that the Uruguayan has made his way to the top of the transfer wishlist at Italian heavyweights Juventus.

Barcelona, until now, have refused to budge in their stance that Araújo is not for sale, eager for the 25-year-old to put pen to paper on a new long-term contract over the months ahead.

But, as alluded to above, over the hours ahead, the Camp Nou brass are set to have their resolve tested…

As per a report from Matteo Moretto:

‘Juventus are still confident of signing Araújo and are prepared to present an offer in the next few hours that could reach 50 million euros. Although Barça will most likely ask for more, the real negotiations are about to begin.’
