A head-turning statistic, highlighting the defensive excellence of Barcelona star Marc Casadó thus far this season, has on Thursday come to the fore.
This comes on the back of another starring performance conjured up by the youngster last night.
En route to Barcelona’s 3-2 Champions League downing of Borussia Dortmund, Casadó featured from the off, joining Pedri in a two-man pivot at the base of midfield.
And the Spanish starlet went on to fully justify his inclusion once more, courtesy of a fine display on both sides of the ball.
As alluded to above, though, it is Casadó’s endeavours when out of possession in particular which have today given rise to an altogether noteworthy statistic.
As revealed by Mundo Deportivo, the 21-year-old leads all players in this season’s Champions League campaign when it comes to tackles attempted (28) and tackles won (14).
Not only that, but Casadó sits 4th in the list of players with the most distance covered, with 71.1km across his 540 minutes on the pitch.
