Thursday, November 14 marked the first day of fixtures during this final international break of the year. With it, a number of Bayern Munich players were in action. Let's take a look at how they got on.
First up, Kim Min-Jae was in action for the South Korea national team, for their Asian World Cup qualifier away to Kuwait. Having been captain for last month’s internationals, the Bayern defender was back to vice captain with the return of Heung-Min Son - though took the armband when the Spurs forward was replaced after 64 minutes.
South Korea went into the break with what seemed like a comfortable 2-0 lead, but their hosts pulled one back at the hour mark, ending the possibility of a clean sheet for Kim, and more importantly - ending any chances of him being afforded some rest towards the end of the game.
In the end, South Korea would win the game 3-1, and Kim would indeed have another 90 minutes in his legs. This win gives South Korea a comfortable position at the top of their group, with 13 points from their five games so far.
Next up for South Korea is another World Cup qualifier, as they play Palestine on the road on Tuesday afternoon, with a 15:00 CET kick off for that one.
Konrad Laimer was in action for Austria away to Kazakhstan in the Nations League, captaining the side. With the Central Asian time zone, the game kicked off at 16:00 CET.
Austria would pick up a 2-0 win, with Laimer playing 64 minutes of the game. This win leaves Austria top of the group, with ten points from their five games so far. Next up is a home game against Slovenia on Sunday, with a 18:00 GMT kick off. If they win the game, they will be promoted to league A of the Nations League.
Later on, Michael Olise and Dayot Upamecano were both named in France's starting XI for their game at home to Israel in the Nations League, with Kingsley Coman on the bench. It was a disappointing 0-0 draw for France, though another clean sheet for Upamecano.
As for Olise, he played 70 minutes, and created a big chance for Ibrahima Konate. He would be replaced by Coman. France have qualified for the knockout stages of the Nations League, but will need to beat Italy by two goals on Sunday, at 20:45 CET, if they want to face a group runner-up in the quarter-finals.
Finally, Harry Kane played 24 minutes off the bench for England, as they secured an important 3-0 win over Greece in Athens, receiving his 102nd cap for his country. A bit of rest for Bayern's number nine cannot be sniffed at all. England next host the Republic of Ireland on Sunday, at 18:00 CET.
