UEFA rules outline that for European matches, clubs are required to sell at least five percent of their capacity to opposing teams.

UEFA guidelines mean away team gets 5% allocation

The guidance states: “The visiting association or club must be allocated 5% of the total stadium capacity as tickets for their supporters in a dedicated sector of the stadium.”

“This sector of the stadium must be capable of being segregated from other sectors. The location of away supporters within this sector must be agreed in advance by police and public authorities.”

Meanwhile, Celtic will have supporters inside the Allianz Arena next Tuesday. This comes after UEFA opted against imposing an immediate away ban on the Hoops support following a pyrotechnic being lobbed onto the pitch from the away end at Villa Park in Birmingham two weeks ago when Adam Idah pulled one back for Rodgers’ men.

It is expected Celtic will receive a minimum of 3750 tickets for the second leg encounter in Munich next week.
