According to Ruhr Nachrichten, Bayer Leverkusen striker Lucas Alario is the latest name to be associated with a move to Borussia Dortmund as they search for an Erling Haaland replacement.
Although not first choice, the 29-year-old would be a relatively inexpensive option for BVB, who have been priced out of a move for Sébastien Haller (Ajax) whilst Hugo Ekitike (Stade de Reims) is reportedly going to Newcastle United.
Alario already has Bundesliga experience with 42 goals in 125 games for Bayer Leverkusen, averaging a goal every 100 minutes, whilst B04 would only ask for around €6.5m. A total package to sign the Argentine would be around €15m, including a two-year contract.
Eintracht Frankfurt are also in talks to sign Alario, who can leave Bayer Leverkusen this summer.
