The draw for the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup has been made and an exciting challenge awaits Borussia Dortmund as they take on Fluminense FC, Ulsan HD, Mamelodi Sundowns FC.
Borussia Dortmund have been drawn in Group F for the inaugural edition of the revamped FIFA Club World Cup, where matches against Brazilian giants Fluminense FC, South Korean side Ulsan HD, and South Africa's Mamelodi Sundowns FC lie in store for them in the group stage.
The Black and Yellows will begin their Club World Cup campaign in the group stage against Fluminense FC, before facing Mamelodi Sundowns FC and Ulsan HD in Group F.
A few tough tests could lie in store for Borussia Dortmund in the group stage of the 2025 Club World Cup, with Fluminense FC having a number of talented players like Thiago Silva, Kauã Elias, and several others in their ranks.
Ulsan HD are led by striker Min-kyu Joo and winger Gustav Ludwigson. While goalkeeper Ronwen Williams of the Mamelodi Sundowns FC recently became the first South African footballer to be nominated for a Ballon d'Or award (Yashin Trophy).
Borussia Dortmund will certainly fancy their chances of progressing to the round of 16 of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup. If Nuri Sahin's side win Group F, a possible round of 16 tie against River Plate or Inter Milan could await them.
Bayern Munich, the other German Bundesliga team due to compete at the Club World Cup, will face Boca Juniors, SL Benfica, and Auckland City in the group stage.
The 2025 FIFA Club World Cup will take place in the United States next summer. The newly revamped quadrennial tournament will get underway on June 15, with the final set to take place on July 13.
