According to Santi Aouna of Foot Mercato, an agreement has been reached between AFC Bournemouth and FC Lorient for young forward Dango Ouattara (20) worth €27.5m including add-ons. The deal is soon set to be finalised with only the finer details between parties needing to be settled on, says Aouna.
Meanwhile on the other side of the channel, Mark McAdam, who was quoted by Fabrizio Romano, is reporting a fee worth €23m, and that the player will travel to the UK today to complete a medical and finalise the move.
Two other Premier League sides were chasing the signature of the young Merlus’ starlet, who has impressed this season in Ligue 1 with six goals and six assists in 17 appearances. Both Everton and Leicester City were in the fray to sign the player, with the Toffees submitting a €20m offer for the Bukinabé youngster.
However, it looks as if the acquisition of a 33% minority stake into Lorient by Bournemouth owner Bill Foley has somewhat progressed the deal in the Cherries’ favour.
