FLW looks at some potential transfers which could occur in North Wales this winter
The rise of Wrexham AFC in recent seasons has been one of the most publicised footballing stories.
After being stuck in the National League for what felt like an eternity as far as supporters were concerned, the Red Dragons haven't looked back since the Hollywood double-act of Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney completed their £2m takeover in February 2021.
Despite now being viewed as a scalp in the lower leagues - given the discourse which surrounds the North Wales outfit both in the UK and across the Atlantic - Phil Parkinson's side have overperformed many people's expectations in League One thus far after gaining back-to-back promotions.
With that being said, there are certain decisions which the experienced boss will have to make in the upcoming January transfer window, and Football League World have identified a selection of potential transfers which could occur at the STōK Cae Ras.
Kickstarting this list the experienced Millwall striker Tom Bradshaw.
Having lost the services of the talismanic Jack Marriott to a broken leg back in October, which ruled the five-goal striker out until after the new year, it was reported by Alan Nixon that to improve squad depth and quality, Parkinson would be targeting a centre-forward with experience in the second tier.
Bradshaw is the epitome of that, having played over 250 games in the second tier and netted over 65 goals in the process.
Furthermore, the Red Dragons weren't afraid to try their hand when it came to acquiring the man, who once netted 34 goals across two League One campaigns for Walsall, in the summer, and given that his contract is currently due to expire in June, a cut-price deal could be on the cards.
If a move for Bradshaw once again doesn't come to fruition, then Wrexham could also look to target Harry Cornick, who is currently out of favour at Bristol City.
Once again, the 29-year-old would bring plenty of Championship experience and quality to this Wrexham side, as well as kickstarting his own career once again after struggling for consistent minutes since his move to Ashton Gate from Luton Town in January 2023.
After only registering three goal contributions across 45 games in all competitions last term, Cornick's sole appearance across the current campaign came in a 46-minute cameo during the Robins' EFL Cup defeat to Coventry City in August.
The man who accumulated six goals and four assists in Luton's third-tier title-winning season of 2018/19 is currently under contract until the summer of 2026 in BS3, meaning that a loan deal could seem more feasible in this instance.
Will Boyle has become a victim of Wrexham's recent success, despite only joining the club last August after a disappointing spell with then-Championship side Huddersfield Town.
The former promotion-winner with Cheltenham Town definitely provided his nous last term, winning a second promotion from League Two in his career despite only making 24 league appearances.
However, the depth Wrexham currently have in the centre-back position and the form of Dan Scarr and Max Cleworth among others has seen Boyle fail to make a league cameo this season, having been reduced to just three appearances in the EFL Trophy and EFL Cup - despite scoring against Sheffield United at Bramall Lane.
This sees the 29-year-old also below the likes of Eoghan O'Connell and Tom O'Connor in the pecking order, and with his contract running until 2026, a loan move in January to a side towards the top end of League Two, given his qualities, could be the best option for all parties.
Despite the Red Dragons' fine return to League One as a team, Luke Bolton's campaign has been one of personal frustration.
The Manchester City academy graduate has only made 19 appearances for the club since joining from Salford City and has struggled with injury problems, making just three appearances so far this season in between foot and calf issues.
Furthermore, it seems highly unlikely that the 25-year-old will be able to oust the in-form Ryan Barnett on his return, so once again, a loan move to regain a consistent pattern of minutes and form would be a smart move from Parkinson.
